There is something special about a blood donor. They don’t do it for the recognition, money or even to feel good about themselves. They donate because they genuinely what to help. It is a select group that continues to give blood. Our job was to shine the spotlight directly on those who are among the unsung heroes of this organization. Secondarily, we needed to dispel the myth that not all blood donors are equal. Blood knows no boundaries other than type. And when used to save a life, this becomes the affirmation point for real people, behind the scenes, who give the gift of blood.
